CREATE big opportunities instead of "finding luck"

Last week or so Ive been feeling fuckin braindead

Literally NO topic to write emails on

Trying to force myself into brainstorming something out of thin air

And somehow

My last 2 braincells sparked up something remotely interesting

So Im gonna share it with you today

So listen up

Recently I hit up a guy on X about his agency

I think it’s like “FB ad creative agency” for creating videos and scripts for their clients ads

I was curious about the whole process of creating good vids

And asked him about where I can learn to make good ad creative/videos

We chatted back and forth

He asked me about my pricing, what I do, etc.

I asked why hes interrogating me like FBI

He said

Cuz we have some extra work to do

And I said

Alright what do you need to do

He says:

Scriptwriting.

My heart skipped a beat

Wdym scriptwriting

He says:

You will see.

Fuckin sent shivers down my spine

Mind you

I haven’t EVER written a script for a video

One part of me thought

This shit has to be a piece of cake bruh

But the other was like

I dont know NOTHING about how to make autistic TikTok vids

So the guy I spoke with says hes gonna add me to their agency Slack channel

I get ze email

Join

And its only one channel called #scriptwriting-iwo

3 guys in there and me

Feeling like Im gonna get molested and write them 10 scripts in 30 minutes

Half a day goes by

Im already thinking

Shii did they forget about me or what

Finally the founder sends me links and docs for the script template, product and biz Im gonna write for and other stuff

Turns out

Im gonna write a script for REAL BIZ that they may or may not use in their ad

Long story short

I start takin some notes in college

I chill at my gf’s house

I get home

Start doing this shi again

Taking notes

Thinking of hooks and copy

And lemme tell you one thing brah

This is NOT the same as writing copy for ad

Maybe I am overcomplicating it

Or shitting my pants coz its my first time and Im not thinking straight

But I was getting EXHAUSTED from thinking of diff angles and hooks

Took me probably totally 4-5h

I double check it like 10 times

To make sure its at least somewhat desirable

And I havent made a grave mistake

That would instantly get my chances of working with them to ZERO

I send it

And sighed

Work is DONE

Today I feel like doing fuckall and chilling

Not feeling like doing any work

But at the same time feel bad that Im not working

And im fuckin bored

Anyways, lesson in here

I dont wait for “luck” or “opportunities”

I make them happen
