"Quick question, NAME" 🤓

Wassup guys,

I wanna bring up one topic in today’s email:

Cold emails.

And why they’re the biggest schtick in the ass in the world.

A little backstory:

I started doing outreach back in October 2022.

Emails only.

They fuckin sucked big time.

And I was totally oblivious to how to write those except for what info I had from the Tate’s HU2 course.

(thats how I started copywriting btw)

And obviously, 10s of thousands of guys like me were blasting 50 emails per day.

Nearly everyone using the same SLs like

Quick question, NAME

Question, NAME

I got a question

etc.

And it was like a tsunami

You would get at least a few fuck you or get fucked replies

Coz in a span of a few months, 90% of businesses were fuckin SPAMMED with these cold emails

Probably 50 a day at least

So it was fuckin IMPOSSIBLE to land a client UNLESS…

You contacted a biz no one has yet contacted

OR

You contacted a biz that’s getting not that many emails but you actually stood out and had a decent offer

If not, you were fuckin stranded on an island

And like everyone else, I was having issues with getting flagged as spam, getting like 40% open rate at MOST etc.

I did them for a few months, didnt really hustle and was pretty lazy with that so I was sending like 50 per week total

In March I stopped completely

And now, less than 3 weeks ago, the beast awakened inside of me

And I rose from the ashes like a phoenix

Meaning I started sending cold emails

I know a bit more on how to actually write those and what SLs to write and how to test them

Theyre still my arch fuckin nemesis and I have an urge to change the script every fuckin day

But my process looks like this rn:

• Instantly.io for warmups - still testing if it works in practice (2 weeks trial, then $37 per mo)

• Streak for emails and pipelines (free for 50 emails per day max)

• Apollo for finding leads ($50/mo)

• Gmail email (free)

• Sending 5-10 emails at once (not 50 in case u wanna get flagged as spam)

But I finally used my big brain and thought

Why tf am I not using custom email domain bruh

Over last 3 weeks I spoke to guys from my gc and some other guys who know how 2 do cold emails

And EVERYONE says

Get a fuckin custom email

If these CEOs get a pitch from a gmail account

Not only are they less inclined to actually reply

But youre muuuuuuch more likely to land in spam

So I already bought a domain on GoDaddy

And this weekend, my dads gonna help me with setting up the email domain, SPF, IMAP, all that bullshit

So I can FINALLY send emails from custom domain

Right now theres no sense for me to send from my gmail account

Especially coz I’ve been once more flagged as spam and my emails from 2 days ago got like 10% open rate

(p.s DONT FUCKIN USE APOLLO AND SEND EVEN 30 EMAILS AT ONCE, YOU WILL GET FLAGGED AS SPAM)

But if youre sending emails with Streak/anything else

And youre getting flagged as spam

Consider those metrics:

• SPF

• DKIM

• Spam words

• Sending more than 10 emails at once

• Free email domain

etc.

AND when I get my custom email FINALLLLLYYYY set up, my “techstack 🤓” will just be my domain and Instantly to find leads and send emails.

That’s it.
